The youth of Sabuli, in the Jirapa Municipality have expressed worry over poor state of MTN network in the area.

The youth Narrated that they were initially connected to Vodafone network until 2019 when MTN introduced their Network to the community, they said it is not serving them as expected

“sometimes the network will be off access for 2 weeks or more, making calls within that period becomes a problem”.

They were seen floating in the streets of Sabuli with placards with inscriptions; Poor network, Bad network, Change this pole etc.

According to the youth secretary, they are giving the MTN 2 weeks ultimatum to change the current pole because the capacity of it doesn’t match the community.

The assembly member and the unit committee members said the poor state of the network was reported to the MTN office both in the region and National with letters.
