Bawiesebelle

The Bawiesebelle Development Association (BDA) in the Sissala East Municipality has raised concerns about the state of development in the Bawiesebelle community.

The Association particularly mentioned the broken bridge between “Duu Fuo” and Bawiesebelle, the deplorable state of some roads linking the community to the rest of the district and poor telecommunication network services in the community.

Speaking to Info Radio in Wa, Mr. Haadi Bachang, the General Secretary of the Bawiesibelle Development Association said the Bwiesibelle community cannot access the Municipal capital and any part of the region, especially during the rainy season.

Mr. Bachang indicated that Bawiesebelle is one of the farming communities which is contributing largely to food security in Ghana but has been cut off by the “Duu Fuo” bridge which farmers find it difficult to transport their farm produce to market and most of them get rotted.

He added that the telecommunication network is another key challenge the community is facing. He said there is a telecommunication pole in the community that has not been completed over the past two years.
