Issa Nomah , PTA Chairman of Siiru D/A Primary in Wa West District has bemoaned the effect of lack of school feeding program in the School since it was absorbed by government over 5 years ago.

Speaking to Upper West Media Team on Monday 8th May 2023, the PTA Chairman Indicated that the School lacks several logistics and resources including infrastructure, he added that the students are forced to go home when it rains, the development that affects teaching and learning in the farming community.

“the first challenge we have is the lack of desks, we lack desks, the other issue is the absence of school feeding program in the school, we also lack buildings, this building was put up by us and is not in good shape, when it’s raining they have to go home…”

He Concluded that the School has over 80 students yet the are compelled to feed the students with the little farm produce they have acquired from the farm for commercial purposes.

Some Residents of the Area have also advocated for the District Assembly’s Support for Improved infrastructure for effective teaching and learning.
