The Ghana CSOs platform on the Sustainable Development Goals have organized a 1_ day training on the Citizens Generated Data (CGD) Applications for a selected journalists from 30 MMDAs (Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies) across the country

An application was developed by the Ghana Statistical Service to propagate citizens reporting on CleanApp Ghana, it is said the application will enable citizens to report any unconditional of uncollected refuse to improve proper sanitation in the country. People without Android Phones can report by dialling *920*58# to report any unconditional sanitation problem in their communities.

Another purpose of the training was to erect or construct the capacity of media personnels on CGD App called Let’s Talk Ghana to support Gender Base Violence (GBV) across the 30 MMDAs .

Let’s talk ghana app is a software App that has been great gun to initiate to help victims or spectators of the alleged GBV to openly to official bureaucracies. A person can download the App on Google Play store for free with your android phone. Also without Android Phone , one can dial the short code *800*818# an follow the necessary steps to report any incident to the appropriate official authorities

These 2 Apps are currently being piloted in 30 MMDAs across Ghana which includes the Upper West Region, Wa Municipal, Jirapa Municipal and Nadoli Kaleo District. Three media personnels were trained on CGD in the in the region which includes Salifu Fuseini in Sungmaali Fm Wa, Francis Edward Dongyiri in Gangaa Fm Jirapa and Danwaah Enoch A K A Barista Enoch in Tumpaani Fm Nadoli .

This training came after a week which the Ghana Statistician in Jirapa, NCCE and other stockholders launch the two apps in Jirapa Municipal and among the other two districts with CSOs platform on SDGs to encourage citizens to keep the Municipal and the entire country clean and Gender Violence free.
