An Elderly Man believed to be within the ages of 50 to 60 Years has died in an Accident involving a long Goods Truck with Registration Number AS-7915-14 in Wa, Suburb of the Upper West Region.

The Accident Occured at about 9:20am in the morning, 31st May 2023. The Victim Died on the spot and his mortal remains were conveyed away from the Scene by the Police whilst investigations were premeditated to begin afterwards.

The Victim was using a Bicycle when the Incident occured at the Wa Gongo Muni T-junction about 400 meters away from Fallahia Basic School.

Some Eyewitness In an Interview with Upper West Media Team indicated that the Driver was heading towards Dondoli from the Wa Airstrip when victim crashed into the Long Vehicle, his bicycle was stuck under the Vehicle.

Runabouts in the Wa Municipality have become death traps due to their narrow sizes, several long vehicles such as DAF2700 with single axils used in early 2000’s are fading out with longer vehicles being designed and produced, these new vehicle drivers find it difficult going round such narrow curves resulting in accidents, some resort to illegal routes popularly known as ‘one-way’.
