A beautician in Wa by name Rashid Anaata has been Accused of Defiling 30 girls so far in the Wa Municipality.

The Issue has been reported to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit(DOVVSU) by Yussif Baba, CEO of BAHASS Foundation.

Earlier Prosecution of the Suspect

According to reports from the office of the regional state Attorney, the accused paedophile Rashid Anaata was accused of a similar crime in 2016 and was remanded into police custody for 3 weeks before being granted bail when the the victim’s mother was pressured by local opinion leaders to opt for an out of court settlement.

Anaata is currently out of Upper West Region under cover but in an interview, he indicated that he hasn’t run away permanently, he added that he will return to face the law if the need arises.

Anaata has been in the news for the past 4 days after some girls in a short video released, admitted he had carnal knowledge of them on several occasions.

A Young Painter popularly known as Agger De Designer, Released a short video in which he defended the actions of Anaata on Monday 29th May 2023, he released a rejoinder afterwards and Apologized for his actions.
