The Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has called on the former President John Agyekum Kufour to commiserate with him following the demise of the former First Lady Theresa Kufuor.

The Speaker was accompanied by some Honourable Members of Parliament and staff from the Parliamentary Service.
The Rt Hon Speaker expressed his profound memories of the late former first lady whom he affectionately called “Mother Theresa”.

He further described Mrs. Kufuor as woman with good virtue and would be remembered for her dignity.

The delegation was informed that, the funeral rites will begin in Accra with a state funeral on November 16 and conclude in Kumasi on November 18, 2023.

She Passed on 1st October 2023 after a Short Illness in Peduase, She was 85 Years of Age

The Late Theresa Kuffour was a Nurse by Profession and had 5 Children, Three Men and Two Ladies. Some Relatives of Hers include JH Mensah, a Former Member of Parliament for Sunyani East.
