Balania Basic school in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District of the Upper West Region reveals that the whole school from kindergarten to J.H.S has just few teachers handling many subject areas and students.

Speaking to the media, the community explained that during the era of COVID-19 pandemic, most of the teachers left to pursue further education in (2022) and as a result the teachers reduced in number, out of five teacher, one of the teacher serves at the kindergarten level and four at the primary making teaching difficult.

Some Members of the Community Added that, they have sent a lot of proposals to the appropriate office but without response.

The K.G block which is in a very bad state is a setback, the new block being constructed isn’t up to 80% in constitution process, exposing pupils to rain and dust during classes hours.

Some people are labelled with party colors for demanding equitable development.

Residents further appealed for the government to return to the old format of posting teachers at the district level.
