The Upper West Regional Coordinating Council has on Wednesday 19th October 2023 handed Over 50 Motorbikes to 5 Assemblies in the Upper West Region after initially Presenting 60 Motorbikes, 10 Motorbikes each to 6 Assemblies in August 2023. Nadowli-Kaleo District, Jirapa, Wa East, Wa West, Lawra and Dafiama-Bussie-Issa District.

The Regional SOCO Office Received 4 Toyota Hilux Pick Ups whilst The Regional Coordinating Council Received One. All Assemblies Received 33 Laptops for Data Management with each Assembly Getting 3 Laptops.

The Gulf Of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion (Soco) Project. The project is contributing to the prevention of conflict spillover from the sahelian countries by improving the social and economic resilience of the targeted Northern Regions in the Gulf of Guinea countries (Ghana Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo) .

Statement from the Regional Coordinating Council

This morning, I presented 10 motorbikes each to 5 Assemblies in the Upper West Region and 3 laptops to each of the 11 Municipal/District Assemblies in the region.  The 5 Assemblies didn’t receive their allocation when the other 6 Assemblies received their allocation earlier. The 5 Assemblies are; Sissala East, Sissala West, Lambussie, Nandom, and Wa Municipal. The logistics are to be used in facilitating and monitoring SOCO project in the region. The SOCO Zonal Office also received 4 pick-up vehicles while the RCC received a pick-up vehicle.
