Dear Admin, don’t be so surprised to see people riding new bikes without knowing the work they do or how they come by them.

Most do not steal them, some do come to take those bikes on credit and fail to pay me what is due me.

I’m a business man and I have been in this business for decades, I have had engagements with men and women but mostly with women, most of these Women riding new bikes come to me with a deposit before taking the motorbike from me, there was a time a Haojue 115 was selling at Ghc15,500, a lady came to me and assured she would give me Ghc5,000 but will pay Ghc1000 in installments each month till she settles it. I gave her the bike whilst the documents were in my possession, as a result when there is a police case she has to call me to bring the documents over before the issue can be resolved.

I gave the bike to her in December 2022, she has been Able to Pay Ghc5000 making a total of Ghc10,000 with an outstanding Ghc5,500. She is yet to pay it up and keeps telling me men are not paying ‘lately’.

Some other people owing me are these tricycle riders, some have promised to work and pay and till today most have failed to honor their pledge, the documents are still with me. These are some of the reasons why some of these bike dealers in town inflate prices of motorbikes in order to be able to settle those outstanding debts left on us by such ungrateful beings, they take bikes on credit and refuse to pay.

Admin, you know these bikes aren’t ours and our suppliers expect us to make some payments monthly to them, so when we give bikes out, we expect the beneficiaries to be committed for us to use such monies in securing our business.

Most bikes on the streets are loan bikes and have no documents, these are some of the reasons why police officers are strict on some of these riders for their documents.

Rent isn’t left out, we must place it in the selling price so kindly advice the landlords, they are part of the problem and such things are cyclical.
