Several Engineers and Electricians have escaped fire disaster after a Toyota Highlander with registration number WR- 237-20 caught fire at the Wa Magazine at about 1pm Today 25th October 2023.

The fire begun when maintenance works were to be done on the vehicle. Upper West Media Team is yet to confirm reasons for the Fire Outbreak.

No lives were lost but the Ghana National Fire Service were at the scene turn out the fire and to take records of it’s magnitude.

Some fire officers at the Scene including Mr. J. Anafo in an Interview with Karky Turosung of Sungmaale FM urged Workers at the Wa Magazine to be Cautious with Naked fire ahead of the Dry Season.

“..I’ll like to plead with everyone here, this is the time of frequent fire outbreaks, I’ll plead with everyone here to take extra care when they are dealing with what we call naked fires especially those doing welding, those cooking food, the grasses are getting dry, from November to January is fire prone season so if you are dealing with fire you must be extra careful..”
