An Aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Nandom Constituency, Mr. Alois Mohl is seeking to oust the Incumbent interior Minister who doubles as Member of Parliament in the New Patriotic Party’s Impending Parliamentary Primaries slated for January 2023.

 

The Party faithful of New Patriotic Party outlined his Vision and Mission in a previous submission to the Media and they are as follows;

 

DECLARATION OF INTENT

After broad consultation with the rank and file of the party, the Council of Elders, Patrons, The National and Regional Executives, the constituency and Polling Station Executives, Party faithfuls, the teeming Youth and the Grassroots, Stakeholders, Chiefs, Clergy, and my Family, it has become a necessity to answer the calls to offer new and people-centered leadership, to retool Nandom as once socially inclusive.

I officially declare my intention to contest the parliamentary primaries to be voted for and represent the party as the next NPP Parliamentary candidate for Nandom.

As the party officially opens nominations in the coming days, I shall pick my nomination forms, fle and begin my campaign with the

delegates across the constituency.

candidate who shall subsequently be voted into office as the next Member of Parliament for Nandom.

If Alois Mohl wins the Parliamentary Primaries, he will afterwards seek the nod to defeat other candidates on different party tickets become a member of Parliament.

Mr. Mohl was the Deputy Executive Director of Social Investment Fund(SIF) in Ghana. He Pursued a BA Degree in Political Science at the University of Ghana, He Proceeded to pursue an MBA in Human Resources Management at Central University College, He Had another Second Degree in Defense and International Relations from the Armed forces Command and Staff College, He Holds a Bachelor of Law LLB from the Mountcrest University College.

He Has a Certificate in Violence against Women and Children from the Golda Meir International Training Center in Haifa, Israel.

May 2003, Inception into Politics and Appointed Deputy Attorney General of Ghana based on competence and successful career as a lawyer since 1982.

December 2004, Contested elections in the then Lawra/Nandom seat and lost both lawra and Nandom.

February, 2005. Appointed Upper West Regional Minister.

October, 2007. Appointed Minister of State at the Ministry of Justice and was in charge of all arbitration cases.

December, 2008. Contested and won the then lawra/Nandom constituency seat as a Member of Parliament.

January, 2009. Appointed Deputy Minority leader as a first-timer in Parliament. In the same measure was Appointed Member of Pan African Parliament.

December, 2012. Contested and lost the newly created constituency, the Nandom seat.

January,2013 -2016. Went into Private Practice at his law Firm. Dery & Co.

December, 2016. Contested and Won the Nandom Constituency seat as a Member of Parliament.

January, 2017. Appointed Minister of the Interior in the President’s first ministerial appointments.

December, 2020. Contested and won the Nandom Constituency seat as a Member of Parliament.

2021 – Date, Minister of the Interior and Member of Parliament for Nandom Constituency.
