Assembly Member for Kambali Electoral Area, Hon. Masahudu Adam on 31st October 2023 has refused to accept statements Suggesting the Wa Municipal Education Directorate Is doing well in terms of Academic Performance.

This was in response to Statements Issued by the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin on the floor of the Assembly.

According to the MCE, The BECE Performance from 2020 to 2022 has improved Significantly by 20% a Figure he described as remarkable. He Compared Wa Municipality’s Performance to Wa East District on Basis of BECE Results.

“…But if you compare to Wa East, that will be one on One basis and they will be doing better than us in terms of performance or pass rate but that doesn’t mean we are not performing..”

However the Assembly Member took exceptions to comparing the Performance of Wa East to Wa Municipality without Figures.

“…It was an exercise dome outside without any intellectual basis, there were no figures that were assigned,for instance if you come to tell me Wa West is doing better than Wa Municipal, in terms of What? What performance, what are the figures?, This is a house of records, making statements we have to be categorical and make available figures so that Honourable members her will have the opportunity to interrogate them well.

Our Candidates are doing well because where they have come from and where they are today we can’t say they are not doing well we only need to improve upon what we are doing so Kudos to our Education Managers, we also call on you to put up more efforts so that we can do far better, Wa East should not be a benchmark for Wa Municipality that I take exception to, We Cannot!”.
