A Young Man by name Saaka Rubi has advocated for Event organizers to hold an annual Traditional medicine Trade fair in the Upper West Region in order to promote our local health services and also safeguard the jobs of those involved.

Speaking to Upper West Media Team on Saturday 4th November 2023, he indicated that the idea should be spearheaded by the Center for National Culture in partnership with other stakeholders.

“… We have lots of spiritualists, herbalists, bone specialists, historians who can come together to showcase their skills during the annual ceremony, when that happens people with some health issues can be able to get treatment and this can create more opportunities for our traditional healers to sell their trade and location”.

He commended the bone specialist in Balawa and admired her works.

“..For instance the woman in Balawa is doing a great job but such occasions will be major platforms to market her to the world and to people in need of her services..”.
