A Late Security Man who was permanently engaged by the Wa Municipal Hospital close to a decade ago has spoken well about Ghana’s Current speaker of Parliament, Rt. Honourable Alban Bagbin, indicating that the Speaker did one thing he will forever recall, sadly, he passed on 2nd November 2023.

..during my days as a Casual Worker with the Upper West Regional Health Directorate, i recall how i worked tirelessly for over 5 years without an Appointment letter from management, a setback that was redefined by the current speaker of Parliament. He visited the Nadowli District Hospital, by then I was there with other casual staff, management of the facility kicked against casual workers associating themselves with politicians but i took it to a different level, I saw Hon Alban Bagbin and Went to him during one of his Visits to share my problem with him, I told him we have been here working for a very long time without any hope of securing appointment, we were being owed salaries. He called my HR Officer and questioned why he wasn’t working on our letters after which he directed that I get issued an appointment Letter, he gave me his contact number and told me to call should the need be.

I waited for a positive feedback from the HR Office for a while without response so I called Hon. Bagbin on phone to remind him that I had not received the letter as promised, he call the national office and addressed every issue after which I was issued an appointment.

Previously, I couldn’t go on leave because casual workers do not go on leave, but now here I am, I’m on leave now and I don’t know how to thank him, may God Bless him.”

The late Razak Revealed this during an open discussion about the recent demonstrations held at the Nadowli District Hospital over lapses in Human resource management within the hospital.
