The Upper West Regional Police Command deployed four Vehicles to the Wa Main Market Close to Dodoo Street to apprehend Marijuana Abusers in the Area.

The Operation took place on Monday 6th November 2023 and several people were arrested and detained in Police Custody to be arraigned before court.

The Police in Partnership with Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) are working in partnership to reduce the rate at which drug about is becoming rampant amongst youths of the Country and also the Upper West Region.

It can be recalled to that the food and Drugs Authority in August 2023, Arrested three Drug peddlers in Wa food possessing and selling unapproved drugs to people within the Region, One other Drug peddlers was also arrested in Gwollu, the Sissala West District of Upper West Region.
