
A Report from Radio for Development News Desk in Tumu has revealed that some Farmer in the Sissala East Territories have been forced to part with Ghc10 each for not holding their Ghana Cards.
The Development was Reported by Radford FM on Friday 10th November 2023 at about 11:00 am in the Morning.
In the Statement Issued by Radford Media it Reads.
Some Passengers traveling from Bolga to Tumu have called RadfordFM to report about farm helps travelling to Tumu to do harvesting of grains are being made to pay Ten Ghana Cedis by some officials of the Ghana Immigration Service for not showing their Ghana Card at the Kunchokor barrier.
Some Individuals have also reacted to the Development as Follows:
Kuufeghe Copper Julian: Sometimes I don’t understand them. Is not every Ghanaian that have the Ghana card. So are the picking the GH 10.00 and to provide them with the Ghana cards.
Daniel Abongajei: Those immigration service that is what they are been doing ,if you refuse they will be beating and intimidating you I’m not surprise at all.
Meanwhile, ASP Ibn Yussif Duranah Abdul-Mumin Seidu, the Upper West Regional Public Relations Officer of Ghana Immigration Service is investigating the Development.
