
One of the Oldest Colleges of Education in Upper West Region, Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education affiliated to the University of Education has now been ceded and will now be under the supervision of Akenten Appiah Menkah University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development instead of University of Education, Winneba.
This means Certificates of Graduates will be Awarded by The New University instead of the University of Education, Winneba.
The Ceding was done After a memorandum of Understanding was signed on 8th of December 2021 by both Universities, 7 Other Universities have also been ceded to Be Under the Supervision of Akenten Appiah Menkah University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED).
Statement
As part of the agreements reached between the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and the Akenten Appiah Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) in an MoU signed on the 8th of December, 2021, Colleges of Education of Technical and Vocational orientation were to be hunded over to AAMUSTED.
In fulfilment of the above, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) conducted an assessment to ascertain the readiness of the Akenten Appiah Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development to mentor the Technical and Vocational Colleges. The Commission confirms that AAMUSTED is ready and in a position to mentor the following
Colleges of Education:
Ada College of Education, Akatsi College of Education, Bagabaga College of Education, Wiawso College of Education, St. John Bosco College of Education, Mampong Technical College of Education, Komenda College of Education, Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education.
