In a Statement Released on the 8th of November 2023, the Police Command Emphasized on the need for the Public to volunteer information and collaborate with the police in order to get miscreants prosecuted.

The Command has taken steps to combat motorbike theft by increasing patrols in areas with high theft rates, investigating cases to bring offenders to justice and has effectively prosecuted offenders involved in this menace.
However, the Command needs the support and cooperation of the general public to be truly effective.
To combat this menace effectively, the Command urges motorbike owners to take precautionary measures, such as using high-quality locks, parking in well-lit areas, and registering their vehicles with the relevant authorities.
