On Saturday 11th November 2023, a lady only identified as Geneba and perceived to be mentally unstable was left stranded in Ponyetanga, a community about 20km South of Wa in the Wa West District.

In a statement released to Upper West Media Team, it revealed some brief details about the Stranded Young lady and calls were rife for her relatives to come over for her.

First Announcement

There’s currently a young lady in Poyentanga who is mentally challenged. She said she’s from Wa and the name is Geneba. Her father’s name is Kassim and the mother is Amimata.

Second Announcement

This young lady is a mentally challenged person who was found roaming about in Poyentanga. According to her, she said her name is Jenebu Kassim from Wa and her mother’s name is Aminata. We are appealing to the general public that.
