DCE for Lambussie, Mr
Naluri George

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Lambussie, Mr Naluri George Gerard, has stated that plans are far advanced towards achieving 100 per cent electricity coverage.

Mr Naluri who spoke to Info Radio in Lambussie mentioned that twenty-four (24) communities in the district are without electricity but efforts have been made to extend electricity to all twenty-four (24) communities.

He said through the efforts of the Member of Parliament, Bright Bakye Yelviel Baligi, the West Africa Cable and Conductor Company under the project “Turn Key” had agreed to extend electricity to all the twenty-four communities without electricity in the district.

“We have twenty-four (24) communities that are not having electricity and the last time I heard from our MP that a company called West Africa Cable and Conductor Company under the project “Turn Key” was to come and work on the twenty-four (24) communities. It is our prayer that they start before the year ends or early next year,” he added.

According to Mr Naluri, the Ministry of Energy has approved the document for all the twenty-four (24) communities to be connected to the national grid.

He was optimistic that the project would kick start in the 1st Quarter of 2024.

“It gives us joy as stakeholders when we are able to solve the problems of our people and I believe the government strongly that once they approve these communities at the Energy Ministry level the rest will be done,” Mr Naluri stated.
