The Principal of Wa Technical Institute, Mr. Saaka Adams has Revealed how Some Influential Chiefs have embraced Technical Education to the Extend of Lobbying Grievously for such schools in their Communities.

In an Interview with Ahmed Saanyuo on Sungmaale FM’s Bongara Program on Wednesday 29th November 2023, The Principal mentioned Some Notable Chiefs Including the Paramount Chief of Wechiau and Paramount Chief of Lambussie indicating how prepared they are with facilities awaiting.

“…As we sit now, about four personalities have written to me appealing for technical schools in their Areas, The Chief of Lambussie is One Personality, He has made provision for the necessary facilities and resources so their documents are in Accra”

He also recalled the Demands made By Wechiau Naa to his Office.

“… Yesterday i received a letter from the Wechiau Naa Demanding for their School to be converted into a Technical School and the letter is in my Office…”

He Also Talked of Kperisi Community Expressing Interest adding that they have the classrooms but there are some things he needed to discuss with them.

He urged the Youth To embrace technical Education in order to reduce Unemployment in the future.

Upper West Region has 14 Public TVET Schools across all the Districts and Municipalities.
