Some Staff of VRA’s NEDCO had to resort to dialogue and pleading after some customers stormed their office in Wa on Thursday 30th November 2023 demanding a review of some charges on their meters.

Some Residents of Choko and other parts of Wa expressed worry and disappointment with the services of the company indicating that they saw some debt alerts on their meters indicating they owe the company when actually they didn’t have records of such with the company.

“..I have paid over Ghc150 for electricity this evening without even being able to get my power restored, I don’t owe them, I only realized my power went off and what I saw was a huge bill on the prepaid meter controller..” a customer said

“…There is no competition and that is why all these are happening, if we had other companies in the market, we won’t be seeing this..”.

An Officer with the Organization [Name Withheld] indicated that the development was a technical fault set to be addressed by the Headquarters, he assured Customers that all negative debits would be cleared.

Meanwhile some other customers Upper West Media Team Spoke with at the Upper West Regional Office expressed concern with unfair charges they face with the new prepaid meters.
