#Wiyaala, the lioness of Africa, has expressed her dissatisfaction with the organizers of Safari Fest (Jirapa Dubai) for what she deems as a disrespectful placement of her image on the program’s official flyer.
Wiyaala, known for her powerful presence in the music industry, took to Facebook to voice her concerns, stating, “Honestly, I AM NOT happy with this poster circulating on social media. Place my image in the right position OR I AM OUT! I AM NOT A BACK UP ARTIST.” The artist firmly believes that her stature in the industry warrants a more prominent placement on promotional materials.
The event, set to take place at Royal Cosy Hills on the 1st of January in Jirapa, boasts a lineup of renowned Ghanaian artists, including SAMINI, Kuame Eugene, Fancy Gadam, and Wiyaala. However, it seems the excitement surrounding the festival is overshadowed by the controversy surrounding the program flyer.
Wiyaala’s call for proper recognition on the promotional material emphasizes the importance of respecting artists’ brands and their contributions to the music scene. As one of the headline acts, Wiyaala believes she deserves a more prominent position and refuses to be relegated to the last corner of the flyer.
The Safari Fest organizers now face the challenge of addressing Wiyaala’s concerns and rectifying the issue to ensure a harmonious and successful event. The incident serves as a reminder of the significance of acknowledging artists’ status and contributions within the entertainment industry.
Wiyaala fumes at Royal Cosy Hills Safari Resort for placing her picture at the back on this poster.
