Mr. Nadi Sanda Imoro, DCE for Dafiama-Bussie-Issa District

The residents of Kojokperi in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District are expressing their concerns about the adverse effects of poor road conditions on their economic activities.

While some are worried about the impact on their health, others are complaining about the hindrance to their businesses.

According to a resident of the community, Mohammed Asana, the rough roads produce a lot of dust which is negatively affecting the health of the locals.

She mentioned that “As you look at the road, you’ll notice that it is not tarred. The road is always dusty, and we have to travel on it every single day. The journey to Issa is quite tedious due to its bumpy and uneven nature. We are pleading with the government to tar the road for us.”

According to Haruna Alhassan, the farming communities surrounding them have poor roads, which make it difficult to transport foodstuffs.

“The roads in our communities are currently under construction. However, some of these roads are interconnected, and we have farms in all these areas. During the rainy season, it becomes challenging for us to access our farms due to the poor condition of the roads,” he stated.

The residents are calling on the government to fix the road.
