.”Relatively compared to other places it’s kind of a bit down in a sense that you can’t compare places like Kumasi to that of here, if have a hundred Cedis it’ll take you a day, I don’t drive I use a Motorbike, to fill my tank I need to Spend around Ghc280, from where i teach to where I stay it take me barely like three days, everybody here vertical has a Motorbike, that is our mode of transportation, to bug a Motorbike you need about Ghc12,000, if you use That amount you can get a picanto, in places like tamale you cnz get my bike at a lower price compared to here, High demand and many suppliers make prices cheap in Tamale”.
He spoke about Rent in Jirapa
“If you want a Simple room with a master bedroom you need around Ghc1,800 a year, one bedroom self contained..”
He talked of salaries and how insignificant they are.
“Prices of things are increasing and Salaries are stuck, the salaries here depending, those who are with government are different from those with the private sector in a sense that some people earn as low as Ghc80, the shop attendants, some of the bar attendants earn up to Ghc300, Gh 350, I’m yet to hear of a place that pays up to Ghc400 within this locality, some pay Ghc200, some Ghc150 and I will have to take you for the 30days, down her ewe always take it that there are eno jobs so you have to just manage, half a loaf is better than none..”
