Nakore Chansa Technical Institute is located in Wa

The Nakore-Chansa Technical Institute, one of the Youngest Technical Institute in Wa Municipality has been closed down by the Immediate past Assembly Member of the Area, Mr. Toppie Karim who doubles as Presiding Member of Wa Municipal Assembly after Several Issues arose concerning where students were being accommodated and Trained.

Per Internal Reports Gathered, The School’s Teaching and Learning Activities have been put on Hold After A Factory Developed Under the 1 District One Factory Policy was Assigned to Accommodate the Students. This didn’t go down well with some political figures of the Ruling New Patriotic Party.

The Factory Hasn’t been commissioned for Use yet since the Wa Municipal Chief Executive visited the Building in 2020.

Students have been left stranded, meanwhile Chief of the Area, Naa Danwaana has appealed to Stakeholders including Upper West Regional Director of Ghana TVET Service, Mr. Saaka Adams to Assist the School with Buildings including Classrooms.

The School Offers Sevel Programs including Cosmetology, Wood Technology, Weaving Technology etc.

On 12th of December 2023, The Institution was reported to have used an Uncompleted 1D1F Building Structure as Classrooms to Accommodate Students.
