One key role of the parliamentary candidate is to ensure unity among all party members. However, in Lambussie, this is not the case. The NDC parliamentary candidate for Lambussie has witnessed statements from his close friends like, “We do not need some people to win the parliamentary elections in Lambussie.

They are weightless, the reason they lost the parliamentary elections” (Vena, 2023). Another statement asserts, “We will not beg anybody to campaign for the parliamentary candidate in Lambussie, but we will win” (Bezel, 2023). Additionally, the Lambussie NDC constituency secretary has removed some members of the NDC from all party platforms without any wrongdoing.

These activities transpired on platforms where the parliamentary candidate is a member. One of the individuals removed communicated with the parliamentary candidate on his private contact regarding the issue, but he remained silent about the matter.

As of now, the affected individuals have not been re-added to the NDC platforms. Amidst these and many other issues, the NDC in Lambussie is facing challenges as far as parliamentary elections are concerned.
