The Member of Parliament for Jirapa Constituency, Hon Cletus Seidu Dapilah was at the Jirapa Naa Yiri Park on 30th of December 2023 to Grace the occasion of the newly outdoored Paramount Chief Naa Justice Dinaa Donglabong Ganaa III.

During the Occasion, he delivered a speech that called for the need for peace and to accord each other respect. He continued that development goals Should be approached differently in 2024 to FasTrack development in the area.

Our M .C. for this noble occasion. Naa Chairman, The Tupari Naa Masin Naa the II. Our newly ordered parliament chief. Naa Dinaa Donglabong Ganaa III, Municipal, Coordinating Director.

Your Lordship, Justice Francis K. Heads of departments here present. Heads of second cycle institutions here Gathered. Principals of training institutions here present. The clergy, Our Namine, all here gathered.

poge namine, kuoro minee, Hala minee, Sons and daughters of Jirapa, invited guests, ladies and gentlemen. I am honored to appear before you this afternoon on the occasion of the outdooring of our new paramount chief.

I came home to participate in the festivities and had to be part of this program because it is a day that sons and daughters of Jirapa are happy about. We all remember we lost our paramount chief some months ago, and the funeral was performed in this same park, the Naayiri Park.

So many sons and well -wishers across the globe have been waiting for this day to come. And I’m particularly happy that today, all here, to outdoor our new paramount chief. let me use this occasion to thank sons and daughters of Jirapa who have contributed to the success of this program.

Let me thank the land lords and the kin makers for selecting Naa Dinaa Donglabong Ganaa III to be the paramount chief of Jirapa traditional area. I am a politician. I’m not a chief. And for that matter, I want to state here clearly that I do not get myself involved in chieftaincy issues.

Chieftaincy, chiefs have their role to play. Politicians have their role to play. We are here to augment the chiefs and the people to bring development to the people. And that is exactly the role that I have been playing, and I will give the new chiefs that support so that we can bring development to the good people of Jirapa.

I know he is an Educationist, he is a teacher by profession just like myself. I have been talking with him right from the table. time that he was made the regent, even before that, about what we can do to improve education in Jirapa, help security situations, our roads, and all of that.

So he’s much aware of that. So today I’m not here to give long speeches. I will pay homage to him in his palace with my team so that we can discuss deeply about the development issues in Jirapa and what role he thinks I should be playing.

I know my role all right, but I know he might have some areas that he thinks that we should tackle immediately, and I’m ready and fully prepared to support him and his landlords and his kinsmen for us to bring the needed development to Jirapa.

Let me assure everybody here that we need peace in Jirapa. And I will also use this occasion to appeal to the chiefs that are here, particularly our Revered chiefs that are here. We have some chieftaincy challenges within the municipality, and I will use this occasion to appeal to you.

Let us resolve them. In any area where there’s no development, there’s no chief, It is difficult to bring the needed We are here temporarily. Nobody is permanent. Nobody will stay on this earth permanently. That is why there is death. And all of us knows that there will be a day that you will die. Once you know that death exists and all of us will die, let us have the heart of forgiving.

We cannot live together without stepping on each other’s toes. You can’t get it anywhere like that. But once it happens, let’s have the heart to forgive and fought ahead. That is what makes us human beings.

You cannot. Even twins, they will quarrel, they will fight. How more or less are coming from different backgrounds, different parents, different society, what is that, divisions and all of that. So we will have our differences.

But let’s have the heart of forgiving. Knowing very well that there will be a day that God that brought you on this earth will call you to eternity. So if we have this at the back of our mind, we will have a very peaceful society and a respectful society.

When death comes, it doesn’t matter whether you are a chief, it doesn’t matter whether you are a politician, it doesn’t matter who you are, you are a statue in society. Once your time is up, your time is up.

So everybody should always have this at the back of your mind. That there is a day that the good God that brought you on this earth will call you back. And that should be a reminder that should let you be doing good things.
