Farmers have revealed the New Price of Tigernuts after the farming season in 2023.

Harvesting is done in the Nadowli-Kaleo District where several farmers are into the Business, communities such as Takpo, Nanvilli, Nato, Sankana are known for the Tigernuts business.

According to a Farmer and trader we interviewed in Wa today 7th January 2024, he indicated that prices have shot up slightly with a Bag going for Ghc1,500.

“..I’m Seidu, farming Tigernuts is lucrative only if you have experience in farming it, it’s mostly produced in Sankana, Sombo, Serekpere, Goli. A bag of it goes for Ghc1,500 of you come to Mangu Junction you can locate us there if you need them.”.

Tigernuts are good sources of Energy or calories, they help in quick digestion of food, lowering of blood sugar and boosts the immune system of people who take them.
