Dr. Thadeus supported Irrigation Famers 

Dr. Thadious Kanyiri Banyen, former parliamentary aspirant ( Nadowli-Kaleo District – NDC) on 2th January 2024 has supported a group of farmers with condems Grasphate who engaged in irigational farming in Kaleo in the Upper West Region.

Dr. Thadious Kanyiri Banyiri Banyen who is a senior lecturer at SDD- UBIDS in the department of Banking and Finance said he has the passion to help farmers during the dry and hence the need to donate the condems Grasphate to support them as they have started farming tomatoes, Pumking leaves and Cassava leaves.

Kaleo is a community with farming and socio-economic activities and farming is one their main source of survival in the Nadowli Kaleo District in the Upper West of Ghana.

Speaking to Hope Radio 96.7fm news team, He indicated that irigational farmers is good and should be adopted and encouraged by stakeholders and benevolent communities to come their aid.

I have taken steps in the future we will see how we can help support you more and I know our Member of Parliament is equally working out and collectively we will grow.

Hon. Dr Thadious Kanyiri Banyen also stated taht, it is not politics as some people may want to take it but I want us to come together despite our party colours and develop our beloved District and Upper West Region. Meanwhile Mr. Eugene Yendeme one of the farmers who spoke on behalf of the community lament over Kaleo brige which has been cut-off hence excessive water will not allow them to farm as usual. He also appeal to the former Parliamentary aspirant for NDC Hon. Dr Thadious to help them in the future with Agricultural specialists to assist them with new methods in farming during the dry season.

Speaking to Hope Radio 96.7fm news team he said ” we survive mainly on this farming when there is no rain and without support we will be suffering with our wives and children so we are calling on all stakeholders and benevolent communities to come to our aid”.
