
Prior to the 2016 Election in October 2016, Dr. Daanaa was at loggerheads with Mr. Godfrey Tangile for making what he termed as unfortunate remarks about his disability.
Dr. Henry Seidu Daanaa who was the aspiring parliamentary candidate for Wa East constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed displeasure over the remarks his colleague Godfrey Tangu made of him.
According to Dr. Daanaa, Tangu Talks Carelessly after he discouraged voters in Wa East from voting for Disabled people. This was After he[Dr. Seidu Daanaa] was Endorsed by then National General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia to be voted as Member of Parliament for the Area.
He lost the General Elections to Godfrey B. Tangu of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Dr. Daanaa After the 2016 Elections has not actively participated in Politics, he didn’t participate in the 2019 Parliamentary Primaries of NDC In Wa East and hasn’t been spotted in the recent 24-hour Economy Walk held in Wa, Upper West Region on the 30th of December 2023.
The last time he was heard In the media was in January 2023 at classfm in Accra.

Who Dr. Henry Seidu Daanaa?
Henry Siedu Daanaa (born 1955) is a lawyer and the former Minister for Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs of Ghana. He was the first visually impaired person to be approved as a Minister of State in Ghana. He was nominated for the position by President John Dramani Mahama in January 2013.
Henry Siedu Daanaa was born in 1955 in Tuasa in the Upper West Region of Ghana. He is one of 13 children born to his parents.
Daanaa enrolled into the Law Faculty of the University of Ghana in 1979 and completed his undergraduate coursework in 1981.
He then went to the London School of Economics and Political Science to get his master’s degree in law.
From 1986 to 1992, he completed his Doctorate and Degree programmes in Law from the same university.
