A farming community in the Wa East District by name Manwe has been Taken over by Armed Military Men.

The Incident Occured at 1pm Today, 25th January 2024 within the Township. Several Motorbikes of civilians were seized whilst warning shot was blown to scare raiders.

Speaking to Some Residents of the Area, they Narrated how Military Officers found their way into the Manwe Community.

“..I saw three men within the community today, I saw them going into a room ordinarily dressed but came out later with military uniforms.

They blocked the roads and took motorbikes from their owners. We are worried because we don’t have an ideas why they are here, they even took the bike of our Assembly Member..”

Efforts are in place to get full details from Assembly Member of the area, Hon. Adams Iddrisu ahead of military control in Manwe.

Meanwhile the District Security Council Headed by Dr. Ewurah Suleman Kandia is expected to respond to the Developments in Wa East District.
