Free King formerly known as California Desert has called for Artistes in Upper West Region to focus on Content and lyrics rather than amount one invests in sounds, he indicated thwt the message is what will send one fsr co oared to spending so muchbin the nsme of quality audio.

He advocated for full support and endorsement of Upper West Music.

Free King who is an event organizer made the statement the Executive Music Sector Lunch of Radio Waa on Saturday 27th of January 2024.

“..We Don’t Need quality for Now, all we need is patronage, let people support the songs first, we don’t need to rush to get out of the Region, let’s get the patronage here first, when that is done we can afterwards proceed to get out of the region, previously we used to have noise in our songs but we played them on radio and supported the songs..”

“We Don’t Reinvest, You see Musicians going for shows, when he or she gets Ghc1,000 what they think of Branding their rooms or buying a new motorbikes, we don’t buy machines, microphones, etc, I know Artistes who fet up to Ghc15,000 from shows yet they don’t invest in thier works”.
