Dear Administrator, The economy is indeed stiff and people are becoming heartless day in day out, I witnessed something this Month, January 2024 and it was at the Upper West Regional Hospital.

As a staff, I went to the toilet facility close to the staff Bungalows and saw this young girl lying helpless on the ground, I looked at her confused and thought maybe she was from one of the wards trying to get to the toilet facility.

I took her up and Sent her to the women’s ward only to be told they have no record of such a lady in their documents, I took her to the emergency ward and was told same story, now the big question is where from this lady and what is she doing in the premises of the hospital helpless without relatives.

She was later taken care of at the emergency Unit and discharged.

Few days later, I walked pass this girl at Duori and she Called me, I stopped and she reminded me of how I assisted her during her trying times when I saw her helpless at the hospital, she told me some members of her family took her there in a tricycle but with the fear of bills they left her there to die.

I became shocked with what I heard and got to understand that people have been pushed to be heartless due to the State of the economy, where will they get the money to sort out her bills.
