During an Executive Music Sector Lunch organized by Radio Waa on the 27th of January 2024, a Renowned Artiste by name Dauda Kunateh outlined some reasons why Musicians in the Upper West Region are struggling to Make it beyond the Upper West Region.

He including lack of content in lyrics if some musicians as a factor.

“…songs are not for Jokes but we compose them as if we are joking, we should focus on Educative songs, I’m not against funny songs but the issue is that let’s create that uniqueness and leave footprints behind for the young ones following us to emulate..” Dauda Kunateh

He Also Advocated for Underground Musicians to seek Counsel from the Elder ones for Ultimate Development.

“..We have made them to assume they are exceptional when they seriotneed some Education and Coaching..”

Duada Kunateh Has released several hit songs such as Mma Dogee, Dunnee Deme, Poge Ne Obie, Tawono Baye, Arijana Lorry etc. Hr has been in tje Music Scene for over teo decades.
