Several people have complained of mosquitoes taking over their homes and business centers in the heart of Wa Municipality.

Stretching from The Wa Nayiri Area down to Mangu, Duori, Kambali and Kpaguri.

It’s not strange to several people that there are some road construction works going on in some parts of Wa, at Kambali to be precise, there is a road being constructed to link Duori to Kambali just after the Kambali Islamic JHS School, In the middle, a bridge was constructed by P&W Ghana and in the process of construction a major gutter in town heading from Jangbeyiri to Mangu through the Main Market has been blocked and all water and Waste including fecal waste have been blocked. This has made stagnant water readily accessible and available for more mosquitoes to breed in the heart of town.

The reason you see too many mosquitoes is because the main gutter in Wa has been blocked to pave way for the construction actives to be completed.

We can however manage this by pouring more dirty oil into those drains to send away or kill the mosquitoes.
