Madam Aisha Batong-Hor with President Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo has relieved the DCE for Sissala West of her post and this was carried in a Latter Signed and Dated 2nd February 2024.

She had he Appointment Terminated Alongside 23 others in a letter copied to the Vice President and Chief of Staff.

She is replaced by Mr. Mahamud Forkah who needs to be confirmed after inauguration of Various Assemblies on the 12th of February 2024 per a letter from the Local Government Ministry.

Madam Alisha Batong-Hor was appointed in 2021 after his Predecessor Mohammed Bakor was Sacked on the 29th of September 2020.

Possible Reasons outlined as reasons for her dismissal included Not amassing enough votes during the Parliamentary Primaries held in Orphan Constituencies Across the Country. Madam Aisha Batong-Hor polled 21 Votes whilst the Winner Polled 299, A Former Regional Youth Organizer who was also part of the race polled 192 votes.

The District Chief Executive’s performance according to research could be a possible reason why she was ousted. Lastly, the DCE was reported to have abandoned the Constituency resorting to Spending most of her time in Sissala East where she resides Rather than Sissala West.
