Sissala East Presiding Member Elections, First Round Results

Elections Results of Sissala East Presiding Member Voting Released. Out of 33 votes cast after ten government appointees were elected:

Diaulia Santi – 4 votes
Peter Forkor Nandzo – 12 votes
Adamu Osman Kajia – 16

Peter Forkor and Adamu Osman Kajia to go for a second-round.

Update On The Elections Of The Presiding Member Of Sisaala West District Assembly

Hon. Nyamawero Nevei, assembly member of the Nimoro electoral area has been unanimously elected as the Rt. Hon. Presiding member of the Sissala West District Assembly.

Jirapa Municipality

Hon. Benedict Ninfaazuma of Piiyiri Electoral Area has been confirmed as the PM for Jirapa Municipal Assembly.

In the first round of voting, he polled 24 out of 53 votes. His two competitors, Hon. James Dery and Hon. Cornelius Nobapuo got 20 and 9 votes respectively.

In the second round of voting, he enjoyed 46 YES votes. Seven (7) assembly members voted NO against him.

He takes over from Hon. Ebenezer Ayemah of Vingving who has honourably bowed out of the Assembly, after serving for two terms.
