Hafiz Konkoni

Former Ghana Premier League (GPL) star, who now plays for Libyan side, Olympic Azzaweya, Hafiz Wontah Konkoni has donated a set of jerseys, 20 pairs of boots, and 10 footballs to Wa-based division 3 side AIP Sporting Club.

This was confirmed in a statement issued by the club on their official Facebook page.

The club wrote ” On Behalf Of Everyone In this Family, We Want to Say A Very big Thank You to Hafiz Konkoni Official for the Donation of A Set Of Jerseys, 20 pair of Boots and 10 footballs to Us… You May Not Know How this means for Us but deep down in Our hearts, We Say Thank You. More Professional Contracts Soon.

Hafiz Konkoni who hails from Wa, rose to prominence in the GPL during his days with Bechem United, where he became one of the best strikers in the league.

He was handed a Black Stars call-up due to his outstanding performance with Bechem United before his move to Tanzanian Giants, Young Africans ( YANGA), he has however moved out to the Libyan Top-flight Division to join Olympic Azzaweya.
