An Elderly Man only Known as Alhassan has been Caught attempting to get away with properties of Some people in Gbanko located in the Nadowli-Kaleo District.

The elderly man was recorded in a video by some angry youth of the area in a video forwarded to Upper West Media Team on Wednesday, 28th February 2024.

According to the Victim, They Went to Gbanko to Steal but unfortunately in his part, luck eluded them and he was caught.”…I was with a Friend, we came to steal, we traveled from Nadowli and Stopped here[Gbanko], I alighted from the Bike to drink water from a compound house, I went inn an upon seeing no one I decided to steal but saw a woman approaching so left..”He indicated he is a Native of Wa Nayiri in the Wa Municipality.

“..I’m From Wa Nayiri and I’m Called Alhassan..”He Explained further, noting that, he used a crowbar in an attempt to break into a room but after he was spotted by a woman approaching, he decided to run but was caught by people nearby.A friend he was traveling with also left the scene with a motorbike they used upon realizing his colleague was caught.

He has since not been picking calls according to the suspect apprehended.The went to Nadowli to meet a lady but upon returning he decided to stop at Gbanko to Drink water but ended up attempting to break into a room. He sews and sells smocks to make ends meet.Per Statements from the Background of the Video…”If we Kill you you won’t continue stealing.-This maybe your last time of Stealing.-He maybe part of those Who attacked the Jirapa Dubai Hotel.”
