A Commercial Radio Station within the Wa Municipality by Name Radio Waa has on the 15th of April 2024 Laid Off It’s Media Staff as part of Efforts to Reposition the Station.In a Letter Signed by Mr. Dramani Iddrisu, Managing Director of the Station, He indicated that All Radio Programs Shall be Suspended for Two weeks with the exception of Commercial Adverts.More Details Below:

SUBJECT: REPOSITIONING OF RADIO WAA

Considering recommendations from the General Manager in his four months reports, I write to direct that;

1. All programmes are suspended for two weeks except paid programmes to give way for improvement repositioning of all programmes.

All staff proceeds on indefinite leave of absence except the General Manager, Security, Administrative and auxiliary staffs.

3. Within the period of two weeks in consultation with the General Manager, Notice shall be served individually to staffs detailing their portfolios and programmes in line with the repositioning agenda of the station.

4. In the absence of notice to any staff within the aforementioned period shall mean your service to the station is terminated.

5. Any staff in possession of Radio Waa property should kindly handover such property tothe General Manger by Wednesday, 17 April, 2024.
