Dear Admin, let’s not extort our people with the profession we find ourselves, for our ways determine how society becomes.

I was a health worker in a part of Upper West and what we did was strictly business but had dire consequences on people around.As a health worker, we had several ways we liaised with private entities to make money from patients, due to how desperate they are for treatment, they follow what ever we say, but its the norm in cities and towns.

There was this laboratory in the district I was, they met with me and urged me to direct clients to them for commissions, once a patient comes to me at my facility, what I do is that I directed them to that facility and get paid for that, I’m sure you’ll wonder how they get to know it’s me, they look at the name of the facility and that’s it, they count the number of patients i have referred and they give me money, this meant that the Lab charges had to go up because my share was part of the bill.To add to that, I could also give other excuses like, ‘this scan doesn’t show what I want’ when that happens, I direct my clients to different lab partners in the scan business for more cash.

At a point some of these patients give up and Never return, only God knows what some of them have been through afterwards due to my greed for commissions and more money.I hope others get touched and desist from such practices for its dangerous to patients and unprofessionals, thank you.
