Lambussie District:DCE Tours Examination Centers


As part of preparations towards this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), the District Chief Executive for the Lambussie District, Hon George Gerard Naluri, tours the three (3) examination centers, namely; Lambussie, Hamile and Piina. In all, 831 candidates are sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) across the district.

He disclosed that, out of the total number of 831 candidates, 431 of them are males and the remaining 400 are females.

His visit to the centers affords him the opportunity to assess the preparations and readiness of the centers towards this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations.

On behalf of the Hon Member of Parliament for the constituency, Hon Dr Bright Bakye Yelviel BALIGI, he donated a total of 831 mathematical sets to the students, including 12 bags of rice, 12 tins of tomato paste and 5 gallons of cooking oil to the students.

The Hon DCE adviced the candidates not to indulge themselves in any form of exam malpractices as it has the tendency of derailing their future prospects.

He was optimistic that, the preparation put in place by the teachers, couple with the efforts of the students, they will come out with flying colors at the end of the examinations.

In a related development, he also admonished them not to travel to illegal mining sites after the examinations for the purposes of engaging in Illegally mining-what is commonly known in the local parlance as Galamsey but stay at home to help their parents at the farm.

In all, 569,095 candidates are sitting for this year’s BECE across the country which commences today, Monday 8th July 2024 and ends on 15th July 2024.
