The Chief Executive Officer of The Students Loan Trust Fund, Mr. Nuhu Bayorbo Mahama was at Wa NJA College of Education and Wa Senior High School on Tuesday 23rd July 2024.

He was there together with Mr. Kweku Sagoe, Principal Manager of Students Loan Trust Fund, Mr. Adams Abdul Majeed, Public Relations Officer etc.

The Purpose of their visit was to Enlighten Needy but Brilliant Students on how to get the needed financial support to further their Education at any Accredited Tertiary institution in the Country.

Speaking to Students of Wa Senior High School at the School’s Assembly Hall, Mr. Kweku Sagoe, Principal Manager Elaborated on Ambiguities outlined by students of Wa SHS and NJA College of Education.

At Wa Senior High School, He delivered prolific speeches indicating that Students are given a period of ten years to repay a loan given to them during their period of progress through Tertiary Education.

“..Ten years is so long a period that you’ll be able to repay your loan, we are saying that you are paying just a little, people are paying Ghc250 a month as loan repayment…”

He continued That, the loan is for all Ghanaians Devoid of Discrimination.

“.. The loan is for all Ghanaians, rich or poor provided you are interested, in the past, the loan amount we gave to students was based on programs so if you are doing Science, the amount we will give to you will be different from others offering humanities, those were the criteria based on which we were disbursing but later we realized that someone may be offering Humanities program yet needs more money compared to another person offering science that was why we brought needs testing through the needs assessment form..”.

He also stated that a Student can get up to Ghc3,000 annually to fund his or her education in School till they graduate, concluding that All one needed to do was to be enrolled into an Accredited Tertiary institution and also get a Ghana Card. Application can be done on their website.

Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Nuhu Bayorbo Mahama in a Speech Delivered at the Gathering Urged needy students to apply for the loan adding that, the fund was opened to all devoid of their background, he urged Final Year SHS Students to take advantage of the No Guarantor policy introduced by the fund to secure loans fir their education with inky their Ghana Card.

He urged the students to take sacrifices made for them very seriously in order to harness positive outcomes in the future.

Public Relations Officer of Students Loan Trust Fund Mr. Adams Abdul Majeed Encouraged students to be optimistic and hopeful adding that the Students Loan Trust Fund can serve as a backbone to support them in pursuing academic excellence without financial stress.

“There is hope for you, there a provisions made available for you to claim the Academic lather higher and higher, those eof you in your final year, do your best to pass in the WASSCE, when you go to the University, there is money available for you to pursue you education, the Students Loan Trust Fund is there to help you achieve your goals and objectives”.
