Several Students after pursuing primary School Education are compelled to travel about 2km Daily from Gurimuni to Kpongu to pursue Junior High School Education due to lack of a Junior High School in the Community.

Speaking to Some Residents of the Community they expressed worry indicating that the Community also lacks a Kindergarten block forcing children to sit in very unsafe building structure constructed with mud.
“..We as parent supported each other to put up this structure, the men built it and we the women also supported with plastering, that is where our infants manage together with their teachers..” Mieri Stated
A Student by name Evans also spoke to Upper West Media Team, he indicated that students start walking to Al-Azar JHS in Kpongu from Gurimuni at 6am and get there at 9am Daily when some contact hours are gone.
Per calculations, the students lose averagely 132 contact hours in a Term due to absence of a Junior High School block in Gurimuni Community.
Evans Added that a mud house that would have served the purpose isn’t roofed and they have no money to roof it.
