On Monday, 26th of August 2024, The Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin Commissioned an AstroTurf to boost sporting activities in the Nadowli-Kaleo District.

During a speech Delivered ahead of the Commissioning, the Speaker Acknowledged GNPC for their Support and Also spoke well of Wembley Sports Construction Company Ltd, expressing gratitude for their support.Speaking a juggernaut crowd at McCoy College of Education, the speaker Revealed that the project is estimated to have cost over Ghc10 million Cedis to be established urging the collage Authorities to put it to good use.

Principal of the College, Rev. Father Yeletuo acknowledge the efforts of Rt. Hon Alban Bagbin in Strengthening the College, he outlined some assistance the Speaker gave which summed up to Ghc510,000 Cedis in monetary Value.Ex Black Stars Players including Stephen Appiah, John Paintsil, Rabiu Mohammed, Kwadjo Asamoah, Fatawu Dauda etc played against Exponential FC on the pitch.

Before he commissioned the project, he was SDD-UBIDS to cut sod for construction of a Stadium at the University.

“The Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has cut the sod to begin the construction of a multi purpose sports stadium at the S D Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies at Wa in the Upper West Region.”.
