
A Heavy Rainfall Recorded on Tuesday 27th of August 2024 Accross Most Parts of the Upper West Region including Ga in the Wa West District has demolished part of the Chief Palace in Ga.

Some Concerned residents Express Concern about the Magnitude of destruction caused by the rainfall in the area indicating that some houses were brought down as well.Farm crops were also affected by the Rain including Maize in Ga Residential Area.

It can be recalled that there was an Islamic Prayer for rains after long draught in the Upper West Region and other parts of Ghana by the Upper West Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Osman Kanihi.
Special prayer was made in Manwe on the 11th of August and also In Kpongu.The Northern Parts of Ghana Depend on Rainfall for Agricultural Purposes including crop farming due to the few number of Dams in the Northern Belt of the Country.
