
The Upper West Regional Corresponding Reporter for Multimedia’s Joy News, Rafiq Salam has been Confirmed as Upper West Regional Best Journalist at the Maiden Edition of Upper West Journalists Awards Organized by the Ghana Journalists Association.
The Awards Festival was held at Dellagio Hotel on the 7th of September 2024, Several Dignitaries were present and Paramount Chief of Nandom Traditional Area was Chairman of the Occasion.

Rafiq Salam’s Report on the Lack of Health Logistics in Wa West District Triggered Pulses and garnered support for the District by Edward Boakye Trust Fund which Supported the District with Logistics worth Ghc35,000.

He was Also Adjudged best Health Reporter for the 2023 Journalism Year.
In a speech Delivered by the Regional Best Journalist, He expressed gratitude to His employer, Multimedia Group and His Subordinates, He also expressed gratitude to his wife for supporting him though thick and thin to realize his dreams.

Other Journalists were also Awarded for Outstanding works including Ivan Domasaah of Radio Progress, Badgin Dougah Pobia of GNA, Ibrahim Wangara of TV3, Philip Tengzu of GNA and Lydia Darlington Forjour of The Ghanaian Times Newspaper.
