MP for Sissala East with MCE at Gwosi

The Sissala East Municipality has struggled in the Past for Emergency Health Care Delivery Services from the Ghana Health Services.

Several Stakeholder Interventions were momentous and assisted the Municipality in Draw closer to the SDG Goal 3 which aims to prevent needless suffering from preventable diseases and premature death by focusing on key targets that boost the health of a country’s overall population.

The Sissala East Constituency MP, Mr. Amidu Chinnia has expressed plans to purchase a Second Ambulance for the Constituency from his share of the District Assembly Common Fund.

He made ethe edge in an Engagement with some Community Members after Filing his Nomination to Contest for a Second Term in Parliament.”Plans are underway to buy another ambulance for the municipality with my share of the DACF”.In February 2020, The Sissala East Municipality officially took delivery of its share of the President’s newly acquired ambulances for emergency cases to improve quality healthcare delivery in the country.

The Municipal Chief Executive by then, (MCE) Mr Karim Nanyua, who presented the ambulance to authorities of the National Ambulance Service in Tumu, expressed excitement for the government’s commitment to fulfilling one major campaign promise to Ghanaians.In March 2023, Moving Health donates five tricycle ambulances to five communities to Reduce the Increasing Cases of Maternal Deaths in the Area.

Also in April 2023, Madam Emily Young, the Chief Executive Officer of Moving Health Ghana, a non-governmental organisation, refurbished some tricycle ambulances for use by communities in Sissala East Municipality.

The Tricycle Ambulances were to Reduce Referral Time, thereby Improving Healthcare in Real-Time.
